KPB Technology Pte Ltd provided the 3-D platform solution to the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) for SingTel

KPB provided the 3-D platform solution to the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) for SingTel as part of the efforts to showcase Singapore as the interactive digital media hub.

The 3-D multi-platform solution provides a true 3-D immersive environment with localized information on weather, traffic, bus routes, real-time parking lots availability on Orchard Road and 18 YOG competition venues. It is available for download at SingTel's website, Apple AppStore and Android Open Market.

KPB is the First in Asia to provide such ubiquitous access to localized information in an intuitive 3-D environment and it is a successful demonstration of the greater 3-D Singapore plan envisioned by IDMPO. The swift delivery was attributed to the fact that the same large-scale 3-D modeling methodology has been deployed in producing the entire Singapore in 3-D, in a previous project funded by the IDMPO.

NCS's domain expertise in building the network infrastructure as well as the system integration efforts is also the key to the success. LTA and NEA have contributed traffic information and weather updates in the event respectively. An open Standard XML API was used for the integrations.
